Your crane's odometer — fitted to any crane, from any manufacturer.
Stands completely alone alongside existing controls. Nothing touched, nothing changed, zero risk.
Fits any overhead crane regardless of age, make or control system.
Overview
You would never run a fleet of vehicles with no odometers, no service indicators, and no way of knowing when something was wearing out. Yet most overhead cranes run exactly like that — no record of how many lifts they've made, no visibility of how much design life they've used, no early warning when something is changing. craneIQ Monitoring fixes that. It fits alongside any existing crane control system without touching it — no rewiring, no changes, zero risk to existing operations. From the moment it's switched on it starts recording: every lift logged, design life counted down from 100% based on actual usage, brake condition tracked, vibration trended. When something starts to change, you know about it before it becomes a breakdown. The data is yours — accessible on-site or via craneIQ Cloud — in open formats your engineers and third-party maintenance teams can work with directly.
Design Working Period (DWP)
DWP is the calculated remaining design life of your crane's critical components — hoist, brake, motor. It starts at 100% when new and counts down based on actual usage. craneIQ Monitoring tracks it continuously, so you know when components are approaching their service interval — before they fail.
Why it matters
Without DWP tracking, maintenance is either done too early — wasting money — or too late, risking unexpected failure. With craneIQ Monitoring, maintenance intervals are driven by actual crane usage rather than calendar dates or guesswork. Plan maintenance. Don't react to breakdowns.
What it does for you
- Catch problems early — before production stops
Vibration trends and load data reveal developing mechanical issues weeks before they cause unplanned downtime
- DWP tracked continuously from day one
Design life counts down from 100% based on actual usage — know exactly when hoist, brake and motor components are due for service
- Every lift recorded automatically
Full load spectrum history — what was lifted, how heavy, how many times. No manual logging, no gaps in the record
- Make data-driven maintenance decisions
Replace speculation with facts. Know the condition of every monitored crane before deciding what action to take
- Hours run and total operation count logged
Complete usage history for maintenance planning, insurance records and statutory compliance
- Zero risk to existing operations
Completely standalone — watches and records without touching the crane controls. No changes to existing systems
- View data without accessing the crane
All monitoring data available remotely via craneIQ Cloud — no need to climb to the crane or access high-voltage panels to check status
- Works on any crane from any manufacturer
No dependency on the crane OEM — fits any overhead crane regardless of who made it or how old it is
